FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Is LiberLive C1 waterproof?

The product is not water-resistant. Please avoid submersion and exposure to rain.

Will the white color be yellowing?

The current C1 graphite gray and ivory white, both of which use a non-sprayed matte process, are theoretically less likely to show paint loss or yellowing. The white model is a more yellowish ivory tone. If you are worried about it, you can consider buying the black model.

How many chord types are supported? Whether to support custom chords?

In the basic mode, the product is preset with seven chords arranged by scale degrees (such as C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am, Bm in the key of C, which will change accordingly when transposed). In custom mode, you can also individually set the 21 chord pads through the app. The neck features 21 frets arranged by scale. It currently supports custom chords for all 21 frets, including major and minor triads, major and minor sevenths, dominant sevenths, add9, and 12 root notes with 72 different chords. You can set these chords according to your song requirements.

Is the sound quality good? And how does the sound quality compare to a regular guitar?

The product’s sound quality has been calibrated by professional musicians and acoustics experts to ensure it delivers high-quality audio, whether through the built-in speakers or external devices. While we strive to achieve a sound quality comparable to professional instruments, individual perceptions of sound can vary, so we recommend experiencing the product in person to assess its audio quality.

This product uses samples from acoustic guitar and produces sound through speakers calibrated for instrument frequency response. Overall, the sound quality is much similar to an amplified acoustic guitar.

Does LiberLive C1 have a built-in amplifier?

LiberLive C1 has built-in professional speakers (20W for mid-low frequencies and 5W for high frequencies) tuned to the unique frequency characteristics of the instrument, which are suitable for indoor performances in spaces of approximately 80 square meters. If you need to play outdoors, you can also perform at a louder volume by connecting an external sound card, mixer, or other audio device through the 3.5mm audio interface.

An over all great smart guitar experience

I think the idea for a smart guitar is cool, and this was one of the more appealing ones to me. As with everything it's not without it's falts, so I'll list some pros and cons.
pros:
when it comes to the sounds, the sampling seems to be quite good. The guitar patterns sound pretty nice, and most are usable.
another pro is the design. For me as a blind musician, the feel of an instrument, in terms of how tactile things are, is just as important as the sound. The pads have very clear tactile markings on them, and the other controls feel good.
Cons:
The piano doesn't sound that great, and some patterns for it do play in ways that I would not expect.
The fact that selecting between all 12 keys is tied to the app is a little limiting to me. Usually key changes need to be a quick thing, and it takes a bit too much time to go into the app just to change the key of the performance.
Some of the drum patterns feel a little too busy in places. I would like it more if there were some more simple, standard patterns, for straight forward playing.
I do wish there were more different patterns/ sounds available. NOtably missing are some styles that I'd want to play on the guitar, such as swing and basa nova. Also, when it comes to the drums, I don't think they are programmed as well as they should/ could be, since some parts, mainly having to due with the hihat part don't have interrupts between sounds, leading to some very odd sounding results in some rhythms.

Another aspect I'd like to write about is accessibility, in terms of the app and usability with the Voiceover Screen reader on iPhones
The app is thankfully mostly accessible with Voiceover, and 99 percent of the stuff can be changed with voiceover on. It could be better, but I'm glad it is at least as accessible as it is.
Over all, I like my c1, and I would recommend it to others who want to dabble in guitar playing, or who just want an interesting instrument to play and travel with.

Excellent product. Acoustic guitar very realistic. Would like more drum beat variation. I’m left handed so play it upside down using chord numbers.

There is a learning curve

I'm not sure that playing a song in 5 minutes is accurate. There is a learning curve. That makes sense. I'm trying to figurevthings out.. but I'll get it eventually
